6th September end of HMRC's Property Campaign

For those who want to settle any CGT owing from the sale of an undeclared second property through HMRC's Property Sales Campaign, the closing date is this Fri, the 6th of Sept.

HMRC are offering beneficial rates and penalties to those who come forward before the 6th of September and both declare, and pay, any outstanding Capital Gains Tax.

The campaign is aimed at anyone who has recently sold a property, other than their place of residence, whether within the UK or abroad. This could have been a holiday home, investment property, inherited property, etc.

To take part in the scheme, you had to register before the 9th of August, but don't worry if you have missed that date. HMRC have said that those who come forward before the Campaign closing date this Fri will still receive lower penalties or fines than they would get if HMRC came after them first.
